Skincare is a huge focus of mine so I always have my eyes open for products with safe and quality ingredients while still giving me the results I need.
I first had the opportunity to try this brand in a monthly subscription box and have been a fan ever since.
Lala Skin Essentials creates luxurious skin care products using only 100% high quality organic ingredients, essential oils, botanicals and natural extracts. All products in the collection are hand made with a focus on skin nutrition as the primary goal.
The Lala Skin Essentials product line includes: Premium Body Butters, Body Oils, Facial Cleansers, Toners and Masks, Hair Care, Lip Scrubs and Balms. Because of the quality and organic nature of the ingredients used, the collection is suitable for all skin types.
The two products I tried were the Shea Satsuma Body Butter and the Shea Vanilla Body Butter. I am a shea butter lover. I have more than I can possibly count and more than I know what to do with. However, the body butters in my collection are not organic so I was especially excited to add these to my arsenal.
Shea Satsuma is perfect for summer with its fresh citrusy scent. The Shea Satsuma Body Butter is a moisturizer that combines the scent of fresh oranges and tangerines along with the healing power of organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter and other essential oils to deeply moisturize, nourish and replenish the skin.
Shea Vanilla will be my fall and winter staple. I am a vanilla lover so I was especially excited to get my hands on this. This particular vanilla is more on the sweet smelling side but is still pleasant. Shea Vanilla is a blend of organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter, organic coconut oil and essential nourishing oils that penetrate deep to smoothe, heal and pamper the skin.
Now for the wear. The body butters in the collection are very smooth and light compared to the texture and consistency of raw shea butter. If you are a body butter lover and are unfamiliar with raw shea, you will notice that in terms of the consistency, these are much thicker in consistency than what you would get at the Body Shop or Bath and Body Works in terms of a body butter. As a result, you will need much less product to moisturize the skin. A little goes a very long way so no need crazy in applying or worry about having to reapply throughout the day.
Scent-wise, both smell amazing are due to the essentials oils used. Because of this you will get a nice long-lasting, lingering smell throughout the day – nothing overpowering.
Once applied, typically straight out of the shower, I noticed a huge difference in the texture and appearance of my skin. My skin was much softer and had a noticeable glow, not shiny or greasy.
I’m especially excited to try these for the winter when the air is much colder, harsher and skin tends to be alot drier where I can really see the benefits in terms of keeping my skin moisturized.
Overall these I really like these body butters from Lala Skin Essentials because they are:
-organic, high quality ingredients (shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, essential oils)
-extremely moisturizing but lightweight and non-greasy
-healing and rejuvenating
-local and handmade
Have any of you used Lala Skin Essentials products or would like to try them?
