February Faves: Makeup, Hair and Skincare

Let’s talk favourite things! This list will be pretty straightforward. I know what I like and what works for me. The past month I haven’t  been super experimental in terms of my beauty choices but hey, if it’s not broken why fix it. These are just some of the items I couldn’t live without for the month of February.

Let’s go!

Boscia – Black Thermal Cleanser

I decided to give this product a try on a whim and add it to my basket at the last minute on the Sephora website after hearing one of my favourite YouTubers, Jackie Aina, constantly rave about the brand. Warning: the cleanser does make your skin feel warm (briefly) which I don’t mind. This is great for those with oily, acne prone skin. I would definitely repurchase and recommend to anyone who is looking for a cleanser to help with oil.

Sigma Beauty – F80 Flat Kubuki Brush

Named as one of the brand’s bestsellers, I can definitely see why. I got this as part of a Christmas gift and I reach for it just as much as if not more than I do my beauty blender. It applies my (liquid) foundation like a DREAM! You get that flawless, airbrushed finish with no streaks. Not only that, the brush does not suck up a ton of product so you need alot less.  IT IS THE BOMBBBB!

Motives Cosmetics – Mavens Element Palette

I use this palette ALL THE TIME. Simply because the colours are gorgeous, the colour payoff is amazing, and it is so versatile. I could easily do a natural, everyday look all the way to a dramatic, smokey eye. LOVE!

Shea Moisture – Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Treatment Masque

I’ve been protective styling my hair basically all winter with weaves, crochet braids, box braids, you name it. In between styles, this masque has done wonders to bring my hair back to life, leaving it oh so soft when I’m done!

Cake Beauty – Creamy Coconut Supreme Body Mousse

I also got this for Christmas and so glad that I did. Cake Beauty is a Canadian company (score!) that uses cruelty-free, natural ingredients for all their products. This is super sweet smelling and smells just as the name suggests – coconut-y, cake-y and mousse-y (if that makes sense)? It smells like dessert. This leaves your skin feeling super soft and the smell lasts for hours!

I’d love to hear of any new product discoveries you’ve made or any product recommendations! I look forward to sharing more of my favourites with you!

  1. I absolutely love your blog and find nearly all of your post’s to be what precisely I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content to suit your needs? I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on a few of the subjects you write related to here. Again, awesome blog!|
