Clore Beauty + Sensationnel Empire Hair Review

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend the launch of Sensationnel Empire hair line with some other Toronto beauty influencers at Clore Beauty Supply, Canada’s largest beauty and hair supply warehouse.

The in-store event was open to the public with prizes, giveaways and a special sale on the new Empire hair line from Sensationnel. Overall the event was tons of fun where I got to meet some amazing beauty bloggers, interact with customers at the store and learn so much from the Sensationnel brand reps who came from the US to promote and educate us on the new line.

At the end of the event and with much help from these ladies, we all got to choose the hair we wanted for our next install. Clore Beauty was kind enough to extend a complimentary service to install our new hair at any of the two salons that are located IN the beauty supply store – one in Scarborough and one in downtown Toronto.

For my install, I decided to go with the 2, 12-inch in bundles in body wave in 1B.

12 inch body wave

I’m typically a long and straight kind of girl but this time around I decided to shake things up a little. I’ve been wanted to experiment with something shorter for a while and it being summer, I thought this was the perfect time.

Conveniently enough, one of the two Clore Beauty Supply stores with a salon, is less than 15 minutes from where I live. Whenever I get an install, I’m usually super nervous about needing more hair but in this case, I figured if I ran out (highly unlikely given that I was doing a shorter style), I could always hop right out of the chair and walk into the store to pick up an extra bundle 🙂 Easy!

Making and getting an appointment at the salon was fairly straightforward and the process was even easier. Because I have alot of hair, I don’t typically like dealing with it, hence my love for wigs, weaves and braids. That being said, laying the foundation for my install was probably the easiest and fastest its been – ever. The stylist was super fast, neat and gentle was still allowing me to feeling like everything underneath would lay secure and flat. From start to finish, the whole process took less than two hours – including styling!

The Verdict

As mentioned, I’m typically a straight and long type of girl and this time around I went shorter and wavier and I’ve recieved so many compliments with this hair! It’s soft, shiny and bouncy without looking plastic-y or fake. The hair is infused with Argan oil, given you that natural-looking shine and softness

I will admit, it’s been YEARS since I bought hair (for a weave) from a beauty supply store (I typically order online) but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve had the hair install for just over a week where the hair has maintained its softness, no tangling, very little shedding and requires little to no styling.

I decided to skip the closure and have had no serious issues issues with blending my leave-out which was very minimal.

The hair itself is SUPER affordable. Each 12-inch bundle was $37.99. On that particular day, the store was having a special promotion in celebration of the launch with buy one get one free so you could essentially get a whole head of hair for less than $40! Keep your eyes open for deals at your local Clore Beauty Supply as they have sales fairly often.

That aside, I would definitely purchase this hair again. This is a great option for those who are looking to try a new style, colour or curl pattern without having to commit with a huge price tag.

Let me know your thoughts! Maybe I’ll be a red head next 😉 stay tuned!
