5 Business Podcasts for Millennial Women

I’ve been LOVING and LIVING for podcasts lately.

When you’re an entrepreneur, especially if you’re just starting out, podcasts are excellent for connecting you to so many other entrepreneurs out there.

Hearing the stories and lessons learned from others is one of the best ways to get your questions answered and gain valuable insight when you’re just starting out.

Podcasts are a great way to consume content and get my inspiration on the go  while driving, cooking in the kitchen or working at my desk. Here’s a look at my picks, perfect for the budding business owner.

#MyTaughtYou, Myleik Teele

Started by Curlbox founder Myleik Teele, My Taught You is one of the first podcasts I started listening to. It’s an honest podcast with insight from my girl Myleik and other professionals on the very real challenges and highs that come with achieving success. Myleik uses her podcast to shed light on what has and hasn’t worked for her and how industry movers and shakers around her are making their dreams a reality.

Girlboss RadioSophia Amoruso

At this point, the Girlboss brand has become a household name- from the book, merchandise, a Netflix documentary and the ever-famous hashtag #girlboss. Host and creator of Nasty Gal, Sophia Amoruso, interviews a different guest episode. Each spotlighting women who have somehow made made their mark in their respective lanes and the lessons they have learned along the way. Although, each guest may come from a background completely different from your own, there are always valuable lessons to be learned.

Think & Grow Chick, Courtney Sanders

I first discovered Courtney’s content about a year ago and have been hooked ever since. Her podcast helps women to get out of their own way and really achieve their goals. Courtney covers topics such a goal setting, self-discipline, consistency, and finances. Courtney helps her listeners get into the mindset of winning!

Mattie James, Mattie James

Mattie James is another one of my early podcast discoveries. A style blogger-based in Atlanta, Mattie always give the real on business, branding and blogging. Mattie is all about process, organization and consistency and answering the tough questions. I like to call her the “Consistency Queen” (in my head). I’ve learned so much from her and have used many of her techniques to stay on top of what can sometimes feel like a never-ending to-do list  by planning, prepping, and scheduling!

She’s Beauty and the Beast,  Tracy G.

She’s Beauty and the Beast is one of my newer podcast discoveries. Hosted by on-air radio personality Tracy. G of Sway in the Morning, this raw podcast offers affirmations and advice from a non-judgemental and relatable space. Discussing everything from spirituality to sexuality with lots of inspiration sprinkled in the midst, She’s Beauty and the Beast offers the tools every young modern women needs to tackle the trials and triumphs of day to day life.

  1. I’ve just recently gotten on the podcast wave. So far I only follow a few and I’ve been looking for content like this. The Think and Grow Chick looks especially interesting. Thanks for putting this together!

  2. I love Myliek’s podcasts. I love how some of them are short, but filled with nuggets of wisdom and inspiration. I haven’t heard of any of the others, so thank you for sharing these so I can add these to my rotation!
